Past Spring's Worship Dance Conference 2010
2010 Spring Jubilate Worship Dance Conference was sponsored by the Children's Ministry of St. Francis United Methodist Church. Faculty members include world-known worship and liturgical dance instructors, as well as local professional dance instructors and church worship dance leaders. Typical attendees range from church members, students from dance studios, dance teams from churches, solo Christian dance artists, and anyone who wants to worship with movement. The youth of 8-12 year olds have a full schedule along with the teens and adults. Instructional sessions run approximately 1hour and 15 minutes.
The official kick-off of the conference is a participant worship
dance concert on the Friday of the weekend event. The concert is a great
opportunity for participants to experience how others minister through movement and to enjoy a sense of community. This past spring it was held in the sanctuary of St. Francis UMC and was free of charge and open to the public.

Instructional sessions which require specific dance skills are presented in four levels based on dance technique experience. Many offerings are designed to offer an in-depth worship experience. Thus, formal dance instruction is not necessary. In fact, you do not have to have any dance experience to benefit from this conference. There are many attendees at beginner level. Students may register and sign up for classes online and pay by mail or online from this website. Conference participants must apply to be in the worship dance concert in advance. There is a deadline for that application and particular specifications have to be met to participate. The application for concert participation must be filled out by the ministering group leader.
Saturday devotions begin about 8:15 a.m. with the instructional sessions beginning about 9:00 a.m. At the end of the day, about 5:15 p.m., there is a corporate worship time. This unique worship session is open to the local public and the worship includes a special time of ministry, a great time with the Lord!

Her vision through mime is to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and draw people closer to Christ through mime.
